- The "World's Largest Sandcastle", standing at 49.55 feet high, was constructed at the Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival in 2007.
- With almost 50 miniature golf courses, Myrtle Beach has grown into the "Miniature Golf Capital of the World."
- The oldest golf course in Horry County, Pine Lakes Country Club, formerly known as the Ocean Forest Country Club, is where the idea for Sports Illustrated Magazine came to life.
